Network organisation that provides infrastructure, network and expertise for implementing programmes aimed at contributing to Africa’s start-up movement.
Over the past twelve years, the Venture Capital for Africa (VC4A) start-up platform founded in 2007 has grown to become an important network for supporting African start-ups. In this network, VC4A connects entrepreneurs with potential investors and mentors. The support is also based on the transfer of knowledge through courses in the VC4A Startup Academy as well as an overview of helpful programmes and events. In 2018, the Mentor-Driven Capital programme was launched in Kenya and Nigeria as part of the Make-IT Alliance and in cooperation with Make-IT in Africa.
