EU-LAC Digital Alliance Week
Between September 22 and 26, senior government officials, representatives from the private sector, civil society and academia from Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) and the European Union (EU) and its Member States will come together for the 2025 EU-LAC Digital Alliance Week in Antigua, Guatemala. The EU-LAC Digital Alliance was launched in 2023 to boost digital cooperation between the two regions.
On day 1, the D4D Hub and the European Space Agency are co-organising a policy dialogue on Earth Observation that will review lessons learned from ongoing Copernicus initiatives in the region.
On day two, the D4D Hub is facilitating a multi-stakeholder forum on digital investments. As a highlight of the forum, the Team Europe Digital and Green Innovation Action will host an interactive workshop discussing how to unlock the full potential of Earth Observation data for climate resilience and sustainable innovation.
The multi-stakeholder forum will be followed by high-level policy dialogues on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, meaningful connectivity, e-governance and data governance. These form part of a series of EU-LAC Digital Alliance High-level Policy Dialogues.
Committed to strengthening EU-LAC digital cooperation, the EU-LAC Digital Alliance Policy Dialogues, Digital and Green Innovation Action, and the D4D Hub are all co-funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
