Micro-, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in digitalisation. However, public actors and governments do not take the time to ask these companies how they are addressing this process, what difficulties they are facing and how they are overcoming them.

The Digital Transformation Center Morocco launched a first-time nationwide study on 1000 MSMEs: This study, the first of its scale in Morocco, provides a comprehensive understanding of the digitalisation landscape for MSMEs. The questionnaire is available below.

The team found that public actors prefer well-founded scientific answers. Partners need to be convinced of the methodology and quality assurance during the process. It is important to work with the partner to show that data can also be the start of a discussion with other stakeholders who may be involved in defining support activities. As data constantly changes, we cannot wait for the perfect data set to start helping MSMEs digitalise.
