More bandwidth, more opportunities: Market analyses for Africa’s digital economy

As Africa’s digital economy accelerates, the Digital Investment Facility is equipping policymakers, investors, and partners with the insights they need to drive inclusive, sustainable digital infrastructure growth.

The Digital Investment Facility (DIF), implemented by GIZ and HAUS under the Data Governance in Africa Initiative, has now published 22 country-specific briefs, following the release of four regional digital infrastructure market briefs earlier this year. They provide detailed overviews of digital infrastructure ecosystems across Africa: from broadband and data centres to green energy integration.

The briefs, prepared by Xalam Analytics, offer actionable insights into key market indicators such as investment readiness, current market capacity and future trends, regulation, and national strategies for digital transformation.
